Meiklem has successfully completed contracts within the Agricultural industry, as well as applying this technique to land reclamation and opencast sites and various types of pipeline drainage. Meiklem is a member of the Land Drainage Contractors Association.
•Trenchless Drainage
Meiklem has over the years helped pioneer the trenchless technique for land drainage in Scotland, producing a plough robust enough to stand up to stony ground yet accurate for delicate grading on flat critical grades. Gravel backfill as part of the one pass operation makes the perfect connection for troublesome surface water, this ensuring the right environment for healthy crop growth.
•Opencast
Meiklem have successfully undertaken a number of contracts involving extensive land reclamation or improvement schemes, including clearance and landscape of old industrial sites and reinstatement of opencast working.
